Building Our SJS Community

Ways to Stay Connected & Involved

All volunteers are required to become and remain VIRTUS trained and certified in order to participate directly with our students. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to remain compliant in order to volunteer or participate directly with any child in any classroom setting/grounds.

“One person gives freely, yet gains even more.”

Cav Call Committee

--

St. Joseph's PTO is an organization of parents striving to complement the needs of our students and teachers. We strive to enhance the education of our students by raising funds that are not provided for in the school budget, as well as to coordinate activities that enrich our campus.

--

The SJS Athletics & Activities Association (SJS AAA) was organized to provide opportunities for our school children to promote and develop their skills (intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual) and talents. The SJS AAA is committed to creating and directing valuable and motivating extra-curricular programs, in partnership with our educators, administrators, and parish members, that enhance self-esteem, form character, and build self-confidence. We support extra-curricular programs that have a positive influence on the development of our children in an atmosphere of Christian principles. Activities conducted by the SJS AAA include: event and activity signup processes, league formation and event scheduling, uniform ordering and distribution, gym scheduling, and the organizing and running of tournaments, among other items. Athletics and Activities include (but are not limited to) – Academic Team, Basketball, Golf, and Volleyball.

--

Cav Call is our annual school fundraising event: A night of Cheers, Auctioneers, and Cavaliers. Our goal every year is very simple: come together as a St. Joseph community to raise funds to help our school fulfill its academic, student support, and facility needs. Established in 2015. Roles and responsibilities needed for a successful event include donation solicitation, event planning including coordinating vendors, managing web-based giving platform, decorating venue, coordinating night of raffles, auctions, and other activities.
